Take Me Out to the Ball Game: College Day at Fenway

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

As a native New Yorker and devoted Mets fan, the thought of going to Fenway Park was initially not too thrilling. However, as I continued reading about College Day at Fenway Park 2012, I found out my feelings immeditately changed. Let me tell you… this is an event that you don’t want to miss!

On September 29 from 11am-5pm, StudentUniverse (a company that finds deals for students on everything from travel to textbooks) will be holding its second annual college day. This means meeting and interacting with college students from all around the Boston area and did I mention all the FREE STUFF?! The event is free and some of the awesome opportunities at the event  include: getting your picture taken on the center field scoreboard, exploring Fenway Park, playing games, and winning prizes & giveaways from some of the most popular companies today! Brands in attendance include: AriZona, Monster Energy, Live Nation, Polar Beverages, Bed Bath & Beyond, 5-hour Energy, and many more.

You don’t want to be the one to miss out on this great opportunity to have a great day at Fenway Park and who knows, maybe you’ll meet some cute college kids from a school not too far away…
All entry to the event is free with a student I.D., but students also have the option to register ahead of time to receive VIP status. VIP status means you’ll avoid the huge entry lines and gain instant access to special prizes from StudentUniverse. You can register for a VIP pass here.

So make sure you mark your calendar for Saturday, September 29th from 11 am-5pm at Fenway Park for a college event you’ll be sure to enjoy.

In order to get there you can either take the shuttle into Boston and walk a little ways to the ball park or you can take the green line from Riverside Station in Newton to the Kenmore stop.

Andrea is a sociology major with minors in journalism and women's and gender studies. She is currently finishing her senior year at Brandeis University. She was born and reared in Los Angeles, CA, which does mean that she is a die-hard Laker fan… Sorry Bostonians. When Andrea is not routing on her favorite basketball team, she dedicates her time to her many passions. They include reading and writing about fashion, traveling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, watching reality television (she has a weak spot for Bravo), shopping, and working out.
