Skating Through the Night

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

Get bundled up in your cute hats, scarves, boots, and mittens because winter is just around the corner! And you know what that means; time for all those fun winter activities like ice skating! Every Tuesday and Thursday night the Ice Skating Club sponsors deals for college students, so whip up a cup of hot cocoa, grab some of your friends (or that cute dude that you’ve been talking to), and check it out!

Most Tuesday nights college students get the luxury of ice skating for a mere $2 at the Boston Common Frog Pond. To get to the rink you have to take the Commuter Rail, then the Green Line to Park Street, go to the Boston Common to find the Frog Pond. The rink is open from 5 PM – 9 PM.  Meet up with people, skate to music, eat food, and have fun!

On Thursdays the Ice Skating Club shuttles Brandeis students to the ice skating rink in Newton. The cost is just $3 to rent skates. Come get your skate on starting at 10 P.M, where they pick you up at Admissions (and give you a free ride!).

Ice skating with all of your friends is a great way to take your mind off all the stressful midterms that are constantly piling up every week. Why not take a group of your closest friends on your college budget and skate around for a few hours. Enjoy the frosty air and get in the spirit to enjoy the coming New England winter!
