Her Campus: Why Brandeis?

Kyla Gabriel: Initially I was drawn to Brandeis because of its prestige and rigorous academics, but its commitment to social justice and dynamic student body were the factors that sealed my decision.

HC: What are you involved in on campus?

KG: I am extremely involved with athletics on campus. I am a member of the Brandeis Women’s Varsity Basketball team, and work both for intramural sports and the front desk of Gosman. Outside of athletics I am involved with the Language Empowering Action Project Waltham Group, and am an Admissions Chatter.

HC: What are some of your talents/hobbies?

KG: Telling really bad jokes and tripping up the Raab steps.

HC: Single or Taken?

KG: Single

HC: If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would you choose?

KG: Outgoing, motivated, and silly

HC: Biggest pet peeve?

KG: I absolutely hate when people are late.

HC: Celeb crush?

KG: Chace Crawford

HC: What’s your dream date?

KG: My dream date would begin with some pretty flowers and a fancy dinner in the city, followed by attending a New York sports game – specifically the Yankees or Knicks.

HC: Dream job?

KG: Working for the United Nations in regards to public health.
