Jason Wu for Target Collaboration

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Brandeis chapter.

As the beautiful Heidi Klum always says, “In fashion, one day you’re in; the next day, you’re out.” This saying not only goes for designers in the ever-evolving industry, but also for the styles they create. But we may just have the makings of a timeless collection in Jason Wu’s collection for Target – his first collaboration with a mass retailer.

Jason Wu for Target stays true to the designer’s sophisticated, ladylike aesthetic, yet allows shoppers more bang for their buck, with prices ranging from as low as $20 to no higher than $60.

Pieces like a shirtdress with bold, nautical stripes and a floral dress with cool mesh detailing at the neckline make the line exude chic comfort. Simple silhouettes with pretty little details like dainty bows and nipped waists add a timeless feel. The color palette ranges from simple hues like pastels, black and even mustard yellow to patterns like floral and stripes of navy and white.

The collection includes all the major components of an outfit (including patterned scarves, pleated skirts, silk blouses and even a trendy black trench coat). Though the majority of the looks are nostalgic for warmer days, several are definitely easy to incorporate into your current winter wardrobe (black tights and the right pair of shoes should do the trick). This versatile collection will help you transition into the warmer seasons in style. Jason Wu’s highly coveted capsule designed exclusively for Target hits select Target locations and Target online this coming Sunday, February 5th. Which pieces are on your “must have” list?

When Andrea is not routing on her favorite basketball team, she dedicates her time to her many passions. They include reading and writing about fashion, traveling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, watching reality television (she has a weak spot for Bravo), shopping, and working out.
