So classes are back in session and you’re beginning to get stressed out from all the work. You need that break to relax not only your mind but also your body. Well, you won’t have to look far. The solution is right here in Waltham, only about five minutes from campus. Two words- Power Yoga! Power yoga is a form of yoga based on Ashtanga yoga that not only strengthens and stretches your muscles, but also relaxes your mind and builds core strength. As publicized on Power yoga’s website, “To keep the body healthy and strong is a duty…otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind clear.” So you can’t even feel guilty about taking a study break, because this break is much needed to clear your head so that your study time is more productive.

Classes run seven days a week multiple times a day, so fitting that sweat session in between classes is no problem! Easily accessible by BranVan (ask to be dropped off at Main and Moody then walk about two blocks back towards Brandeis), YogaPower Studio will help you build your core and strengthen your spirit. Trust us, you’ll find you leave your yoga session not only more physically aware, but more mentally prepared to take on your day. And who knows-after a few classes you may even leave with a six pack! Make sure to fill up that water bottle, grab a clean towel and Yoga matt (and your wallet, as each class runs at $15 with cheaper packages available), and get ready to burn some calories!
