Looking to switch up your study spots? Here are 5 of our favorites:

Lizzy’s Ice Cream – Waltham

367 Moody St

Stressing eating for finals is real, so why not kill two birds with one stone? Lizzy’s has a comfortable, yet surprisingly quiet and calm, atmosphere, right here in Waltham. Also, amazing homemade kosher ice cream.

Cafe on the Commons – Waltham

677 Main St

They have good coffee, seating, free wifi, and they’re located just off of Moody Street. Is there anything else you really need to know?

Cambridge Public Library – Harvard Square, Cambridge

449 Broadway, Cambridge

This beautiful library is completely overshadowed by the Boston Public Library, but is significantly less crowded during finals season. With tons of seating and entire walls made of floor- to-ceiling windows for peak natural light, plus a park right outside if you need a study break, this library is ideal if you can’t handle the thought of one more minute in Farber.

George Howell Coffee – Newton

311 Walnut St, Newtonville

While a little smaller that the Starbucks just one street over, George Howell Coffee has the feel of a more “hipster” coffee shop, without the added price. They have amazing paninis and hand-crafted coffee (my favorite is their latte with added lavender), as well as super friendly baristas.

Boston Public Library

700 Boylston St, Boston

Sitting in the famous reading room in the McKim building will make even the most down-and-out studying for finals student suddenly feel scholarly.
