Just like everything else this year, the Met Gala had been pushed back because of Covid-19 from the first Monday of May to Monday September 13, 2021. Nevertheless, with the return of the Met Gala, there was the return of unbelievable fashion from the women and men who attended, which felt right with it also being Fashion Week this week. The theme this year was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” which brought out a lot of memorable outfits that left everyone asking for more pictures to admire every aspect of it.

After everything, it felt right to have the Met Gala to bring us all a sense of peace again, and we could all go back to judging and admiring everyone as they walked the red carpet to the event. Along with all of the stunning outfits, there were some questionable ones for sure, but today I wanted to praise some of my absolute favorite outfits that I saw.

Iman

Iman, an extraordinary supermodel, wore my favorite outfit of the entire event. She looked out of this world stunning in her golden, sun outfit.

Nikkie de Jager

Nikkie de Jager, the well-known makeup guru on YouTube, did an absolutely beautiful tribute with her dress for Marsha P. Johnson, a trans icon who contributed to and was at the forefront of the Stonewall Riots. It was an incredible tribute with an incredible dress.

Timothée Chalamet

As per usual, actor Timothée Chalamet was adored on the red carpet and rightfully so. He looked cute and comfortable with the all white outfit, and the American classic Converse.

Billie Eilish

Musician Billie Eilish was absolutely jaw-dropping in her Marilyn Monroe tribute dress. I’m not normally a huge fan of the nude/peach color, however, Billie looked unbelievable in it and I immediately fell in love.

Kendall Jenner

Kendall Jenner would have done Aubrey Hepburn proud with this outfit as her tribute. The silver looked so elegant and so beautiful on her.

Lil Nas X

Rising musician Lil Nas X absolutely stunned the crowd with not one, but three different outfits, all very powerful and golden. All of the outfit choices were unreal, but my favorite was the final outfit with the dark and gold bodysuit.

Quannah Chasinghorse

My second favorite outfit by far was by model Quannah Chasinghorse. It was a beautiful indigenousness outfit, complimented by jewelry she was gifted for the night by her aunt, former Miss Navajo Nation.

Barbie Ferreira

Barbie Ferreira, actress and model, was absolutely adorable with her classic Hollywood look. I am completely obsessed with the peals and she looked beautiful.
