There are SO many different flavors of lattes these days making it hard to choose just one! Next time you can’t decide what to order, try a latte flavor that matches your zodiac sign!
ARIES (March 21 – April 19) – Honey Oat Latte
Aries are gorgeous, fun, smart and … you might be able to tell I’m a little biased! In all seriousness, Aries are my girlies who love the color yellow, dancing on tables, and singing out loud. They dream big, but get distracted by the next big adventure. They don’t let life get them down. Sweet and wholesome, the honey oat latte is a perfect compliment to the Aries lifestyle. The nuttiness of oat milk matches the earthy sweetness of honey, and it is one of my favorite drinks!
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20) – Campfire Latte
You know that girl, the one with her head planted on her shoulders rather than in the clouds, the one who you ask all your questions, the one who stands quiet and firm, like an old maple tree in the center of campus. She’s the girl who listens like a lawyer, and tells you what you know is right – like it or not. Campfire lattes are her character; the smoky, hearty flavor transports you to a night under the stars, wrapped in a blanket with the fire blazing.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) – Lavender Latte
Sweet and fun, a Gemini loves and is loved by everyone. They always stay fresh, and love to flit and flirt with friends. They take life lightly, and have an overall charismatic disposition. Like a Gemini, honey lavender lattes are unique in a classy sense. The floral sweetness is mysterious to the tongue and catching to the eye, just like a Gemini.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22) – Salted Caramel Latte
Hidden behind their bangs, Cancers sit quietly in the corner, eyes wide and absorbing the world around them. She’s your back corner, doesn’t-speak-over-a-whisper girl. She tells her little sister the wildest bed time stories at night because her creativity spins the wildest and most unimaginable tales. Cancers are the salted caramel lattes of the world, subtle, sweet, but with a salty twist, a little twist that says “hey- I’m still here”.
LEO (July 23 – Aug. 22) – Mayan Mocha
The L in Leo stands for one thing, LOUD. Leos think they are always right, because they are always right. With a flare for drama, everyone knows when a Leo is there. If you want a taste of a Leo, try a Mayan mocha. The deep, dark, chocolate tone is immediately cut with a dash of cinnamon and blaze of cayenne pepper. This latte is an ode to the Mayan warriors, who commanded a room, and like a Leo, were leaders in their tribes.
VIRGO (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22) – Café con Miel Latte
Virgos are your problem solvers, the ones who seem to always be the eye of the storm. They’re your girls who believe slow and steady wins the race, and can boil a whole pot of drama down to one simple solution. Café con miel is the latte for a Virgo. If you haven’t heard of a Café con Miel, it’s a latte traditionally made with honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Just like the aura of a Virgo, the Café con Miel is warm, comforting and consistent in its flavor. It is something everyone should have in their lives.
LIBRA (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22) – French Vanilla Latte
Libra are your peace makers and your people pleasers. She’s the girl whose vibes remind you of yoga, meditation and balance. When everyone can’t decide where to eat or what to do, she considers everyone’s opinion and comes up with the compromise. The only thing she can’t decide on, is how to make everyone happy. Libras are a French vanilla latte because it’s everyone’s go to, and disappoints none. But don’t think you can sleep on a Libra just because vanilla is a classic; the French vanilla flavor is a rich and sought-after form of vanilla flavoring.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21) – Rose Cardamom Latte
We all know a Scorpio, if you’re not one, the girl who walks with her head held high, wrapped in bright colorful patterns. Her clothes are upcycled or thrifted, her eyes are bright against dark eyeliner, and chance are, she is a theater girl. With a Scorpio, you’re always intrigued, just like a rose cardamom latte. Made with spices from across the world and flowers typically in your garden rather than your mouth. A rose cardamom latte stimulates every one of your senses, and would definitely stand out in crowd.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21) – Spicy Honey Latte
You can hear her from down the block, and its usually because the people around her are laughing. She might be cute, but if you cross her – watch out. She doesn’t stand for injustice, but she does stand up for herself. If she was an animal, she’d be a lion but as a latte she is a spicy honey latte. Spicy honey lattes have a sweet undertone, but the chili powder leads to a sharp kick that definitely takes command.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19) – Hazelnut Latte
Capricorns – your grandma girls, the ones who can bake cookies and knit, while single handedly girlbossing their classes with a 4.0 GPA. If you’re looking for a Capricorn, you’ll find them with a large book in the library. If anyone has a morning routine, its her, and you best bet it starts at 6 a.m. Hazelnut lattes are a mellow flavor, with earthy notes representing the has-it-all-together personality of a Capricorn.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18) – Dirty Chai Latte
Chai has history, the spices where commonly ground into a drink in India, and was discovered by Europeans who brought them back with tales of their exotic adventures. While our chai lattes are not the same as the original, their story is captivating, much like the vision board of an Aquarius. An Aquarius may be barefoot walking under a waterfall, but that doesn’t mean they can’t debate world affairs. Aquarius is a dirty chai, symbolic of their alluring nature, with that extra kick of espresso to keep up with their adventurous lifestyle.
PISCES (Feb. 19 – March 20) – Coconut Sage Latte
Pisces may be dreamers, but this latte is no dream. While I’ve only seen it at one of my local coffee shops, I highly suggest giving it a try if you find one. Pisces have large hearts to sympathize with their friends. They’re covered in daisy crowns and dream catchers. The coconut sage latte is a playfully artistic contrast between the sweet, nutty, creaminess of coconut and the mellow, fall-reminiscent taste of sage. Both Pisces and coconut sage lattes are soft and sweet. They might be hard to get a hold of, but when you do, you can taste the comfort that symbolizes the compassion of a Pisces.
If you’ve gotten this far and you still don’t have a latte in hand, go grab your keys; it’s time to go! Try one that matches your star-sign, or try your bestie’s star-sign latte for something new. And while you’re at it, go somewhere local to support small businesses and quality products. You never know when you’ll discover that little hole in the wall shop, that brings out all the tote bag, Instagram vibes!
