This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bowling Green chapter.

Every year, I spend weeks thinking about what I want to dress up as for Halloween. Should I do a scary or whimsical costume? What about a group costume or couple costume? Regardless of who you’re spending Halloween with, here are some ideas to help you feel confident and ready for a fun time!

If you have any black clothing items in your closet, you’ll be able to easily create many of these costumes!

1. Cat

All you’ll need for this costume are some cat ears and a black outfit. You can add some makeup to elevate this look. Maybe a cat eye and some black paint on your nose?

2. mINNIE mOUSE

You can use a black leotard or crop top and a red skirt for this costume. Some Minnie ears will spice up this look!

3. Fairy

You’ll need lots of sparkles! You can use any color dress or skirt and don’t forget to wear some wings! This is a really cute group costume

4. WITCH

A simple and easy costume, the witch is a tried and true choice. You can put on a black witch hat, black dress, and black tights.

5. Where’s Waldo

For this costume, all you’ll need is some blue jeans, black round frame glasses, a white and red striped sweater, and a matching beanie.

6. Vampire

Wearing some black pants or skirt with a black top will help you create this look but the real sinker will be a cape and some fangs!

7. SANDY FROM GREASE

I know that this is a bit of a throwback, but Sandy will always be iconic! For this look, you’ll need some black jeans, a black off-the-shoulder top, and a leather jacket. Bonus points if you can find a Danny!

8. Pop art MAKEUP

This will take some talent with makeup but with this tutorial, you’ll be able to accomplish it. You can also add a fun wig and bright clothing. You’ll look like you just stepped out of a comic book!

9. Devil

You can wear red or black for this outfit. Adding some devil horns will solidify the look.

10. Angel

Wearing all white and an angel halo will be the perfect choice for this costume! Invite a friend to do costume #9 and you can twin!
