People seem to think that you HAVE to be in a relationship to be happy and enjoy Valentine’s Day. Coming from someone who is celebrating their first Valentine’s Day single in quite a few years, this statement stands untrue. You do not need a significant other to celebrate this day of love. Use this day to appreciate your friends, family, and self.

Here are some ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day single and happy:

  • Dinner and a movie with your girlfriends
  • A night in for self-love (face masks and wine)
  • Go out for a few drinks with your friends
  • Get your nails done, go shopping, girly things that boys don’t appreciate anyway
