How to Decorate Your Dorm/Apartment for Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bloom U chapter.

Now that the leaves are changing and the wind is blowing, I am here to help you decorate your apartment because “fall is life”.

A cute way to get the fall scent into your apartment, is to use pumpkin spice candles, duh. I’m here to show you a cute, simple, and of course cheap way to upgrade your candles for the fall!

Here’s a few other ways to get that fall smell throughout your place!

** but for those not in apartments, Scentsy has awesome pumpkin scents (my favorite is pumpkin coconut), and Bath and Body Works has a product called a Wallflower with super fun seasonal scents too!**

If you’re feeling really crafty and love pumpkins as much as I do…….try these cuties out!

If buying real pumpkins isn’t your thing, but you still enjoy being crafty, try painting a wine glass to look like a pumpkin and use it as a stand for your jewelry to even to hold up a candle (or a battery powered one)!

After enjoying a few glasses of wine, be sure to save your corks make this cute little guy! Grab an orange marker and color one end of the cork orange and glue them together in a circular shape and one on top as a stem to form a wine cork pumpkin!

Got some extra t.p. laying around?? Cut out some black circles and make a fool proof ghost!!

If you’re not that crafty- like myself- the dollar store if filled with the cutest little Halloween and fall decorations. Leaf garlands are always a cute addition around and doorway and, who can say no to sparkly jack-o-lanterns?!

And while you’re at the Dollar Store, be sure to grab a trick or treat pumpkin and some glow-sticks to give your room that festive night time glow!!
