Whether it is that eight a.m., roll out of bed class, or the dreaded six to nine on a Thursday night, we all share the same thoughts when twisting and turning through the sidewalks of Bloomsburg’s campus.
“Wow , I’m out of shape.”
Let’s admit it, we’ve all had the realization that we are out of shape when walking from the Husky to class. your walking slows and the heavy breathing picks up. Yet, everyone attempts to hide it. It’s a hill both ways, just embrace it.
“I think I have resting bitch face.”
In hopes to look entertained while walking by yourself to class, you throw in your headphones and blast some music. But really what facial expression is supposed to be spread across your face when walking alone? You can’t smile and laugh because that just attracts weird stares from others. So, resting bitch face it is. You really are happy, it just doesn’t look like it.
“Is that person seriously walking through the quad?”
It’s completely acceptable to play Kan Jam or throw a football on the quad;even laying there is (sometimes) appropriate. But the minute someone takes the hike from Centennial to Bakeless, or Sutliff to McCormick, the whispers begin. “Are you serious, can they be any lazier?” “Did you see the quad walker today, who do they think they are?”
“But it wasn’t raining a little bit ago.”
You leave class with no rain jacket, no umbrella because there’s a zero percent chance of rain and the sun is shining. It’s a beautiful day; that is until you walk out of class fifty minutes later to find yourself walking home in a torrential down pour unable to protect your perfectly styled hair from the hazardous rain. Where did it even come from anyway? It never fails though. Always carry a rain jacket.
“Bloomsburg is actually so pretty.”
You’ve only walked on this campus everyday since August and perhaps for the past three years, yet you still have these eye awakening moments when you realize how pretty campus is. Every season gives it a near flare and you can’t help but flash some Instagram worthy pictures from the steps of the Student Service Center or the windows from the second floor of the library.
