Everything You Need to Know About Fall Rush

Bloomsburg’s Greek Life presents Fall Rush 2014! Fall Rush is one of the biggest events at Bloomsburg during the fall semester. Beginning September 8, for a week and a half, there will be several events, held on and off campus, which will allow sophomores the chance to meet all the sororities on campus.

Sweeten UpsDATE: Monday, September 8TIME: 8 p.m.LOCATION: KUB Ballroom

Most similar to a “meet and greet,” rushees will be divided into groups to meet each sorority for approximately 8 minutes.

OpensDATE: Tuesday, September 9 & Wednesday, September 10TIME: 9 p.m. to midnightLOCATION: KUB Ballrooms

During this two-night event, rushees will be able to meet all the sororities, but will be given more time to learn more about the expectations and standards of the members of each sorority.

InformalsDATE:Saturday, September 13 & Sunday, September14 TIME: noon to 5 p.m.LOCATION: Sorority Houses

Starting at noon, rushees will be allowed to visit up to 8 different sororities to receive house tours, hear about the positive aspects of being a member of each individual sorority, and also learn the benefits between local vs. national sororities.

Philanthropy DATE: Monday, September 15 & Tuesday, September16TIME: 9 p.m. to midnightLOCATION: Sorority Houses

Rushees will be given the chance to visit up to 5 different sororities to learn about the service projects and the philanthropy the sorority participates in.

FormalsDATE: Wednesday, September 17TIME: 9 p.m. to midnightLOCATION: Sorority Houses

Rushees will be able to see up to 2 different sororities and receive one last impression of each sorority.

And finally everyone’s favorite, Bid DayDATE: Thursday, September 18TIME: 9 p.m.LOCATION: KUB Ballroom

Rushees will arrive to the KUB Ballroom, where they will be welcomed into the Panhellenic community and meet their new organization!
