Parade Day is the day that every Binghamton student looks forward to and is the highlight of the spring semester. Besides, what could be better than going downtown during the day and seeing the Binghamton community uniting? Here are some of the reasons why Parade Day is the best!
Everyone goes!: One of the best things about parade day is that even those who usually do not go downtown participate. This makes the day even more fun because you can hang out and party with those that you don’t usually do so with! It is truly a day where even the stressed out nerds are out relaxing and having fun!
School spirit: Even though Parade Day has nothing to do with actual Binghamton University, it brings out unity and love for our school among everyone. Because we do not have a football team, we don’t get to have day pregames like big football schools have. So parade day is the one big party that everyone feels invited to which stirs up a strong sense of Binghamton pride and unity.
The actual parade: Often times people forget that there is an actual parade taking place on Parade Day. The parade is cool and fun to watch with your friends. So if you are going to Parade Day, make sure you take a break from the bars and catch the awesome parade!
