My Halloween Looks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Binghamton chapter.

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, so I always go crazy for it. I spent weeks practicing my different makeup  looks so it would all be perfect the night I wore them. This year I went as a zombie and a creepy doll, and I think both looks were successes.

My first look was a zombie, which is actually the easiest costume to do. I cut up a shirt and threw some fake blood all over it. Then, I used a combination of purple, black, brown, red and grey eyeshadow to create that signature dead look that zombies have. I even used a red liner in my waterline to give the illusion that my eyes were bleeding. I wish I could look like a zombie every weekend… seriously.

My second look was this creepy doll. I’ve been planning this costume for about a year now, so actually creating it was such an accomplishment for me. My dress is from Kohls, and it was perfect for this look. It took me about an hour to do the hair and makeup, which consists of a lot of purple eyeshadow and a lot of fake body parts. I used a white liner to create the illusion that my eyes were big and doll-like, then I glued fake lashes to the lashline of my “new” eyes. I added freckles and big dolly cheeks, then stitched myself up to add the creepy effect.
