Want to get the perfect Victoria’s Secret bombshell hair but have no idea where to even begin? They’re called pin curls and they’re actually a lot easier to do than you think! Yes, I know what you’re thinking…. pin curls are “old fashioned” and “strange” but they are what every celeb and model uses to get those amazing curls. Pin curls are the best way to make your curls stay and give you that perfect bounce all day and night!
What you need:
Heat protectant
Bobby pins
Hair spray
Hair Gel
Note: It doesn’t matter what brand you get for these products but a few of my favorites are TRESemme and Garnier Fructis.
Now for the 10 easy steps:
1. Prep your hair with heat protectant and LIGHTLY spray your hair with hair spray.
2. Split your hair into three sections leaving the front pieces separate (save those for last)
3. Take a curling iron (the size is up to you! I use a half an inch) and take a piece of hair that is about the width of your curling iron and start to curl
4. Hold the curling iron for about 7-10 seconds, then slowly take the curl from the iron without letting the curl fall
5. Take the curl and bobby pin it to your head (pinning it to your head allows the curl to cool off and hold its shape. Letting a curl just fall gives it time to lose its shape and all your hard work goes down the drain)
6. Repeat this step until every section is curled and pinned (make extra sure your curls are secure)
7. Next, go crazy with the hairspray while your curls are still pinned.
8. Leave the pins in for as long as you want. The longer they stay in the longer the curls will last (You can even sleep with the pins in)
9. Take the pins out starting with the first section you curled
10. Flip you head upside down and with a dime size amount of gel scrunch your curls together and shake your hair out!
Warning: you may be mistaken for a VS Angel when you walk around with these curls!
