Getting ready for the holidays is always a fun time: putting up the decorations, cutting down the perfect tree, and running around to different shops to get the best deals of the season. You can’t do this in college though. So here are some things you can do to make sure the holidays stay fun and cheerful.
1) Decorate your dorm!
Decorating your dorm is the easiest thing you can do to fill your surroundings with holiday cheer. A stocking here. A mini tree here. Perhaps some Christmas lights around the room. Make your room unique!
2) Decorate your floor!
Decorating your entire floor may not be as easy, but if you have some good friends on the floor than why not?! As they say, team work makes the dream work.
3) Take advantage of online shopping and stores nearby
Without a car it’s hard to get to all the stores you need to go to. If your school offers a shuttle to a nearby store take advantage of that. Don’t have time to go to the mall? Cyber Monday offers great deals and opportunities for people to buy holiday gifts online and a lot of stores have sales all season.
4) Music and movies!
To finish off the holiday feel blast some Michael Buble Christmas music or put on a classic like Home Alone or the Polar Express.
Holidays at college are what you make it so put effort into it to make it fun and exciting!
