Ellen DeGeneres to Bentley!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

As most of you know, last semester Bentley’s own Her Campus, along with many other student organizations, helped Alyssa Hammond’s Business of Social Media class with their attempt to get Conan O’Brien to Bentley. The students (and some incredibly brave staff members) staged a flash mob outside of the library quad, choreographed to the well-known spring smash “Call Me Maybe”.  Check out the video below in case you missed it!

This first attempt has only fueled a second, even bigger attempt by her fall semester section to get none other than ELLEN DEGENERES to Bentley. I don’t know about you, but Ellen DeGeneres is one of my favorite people. She’s hilarious, beautiful, intelligent, and stands up for everything she believes in. She’s a Covergirl and the host of one of the most successful talk shows on television today, as if anyone didn’t know that.

Anyway, the class needs our help! As far as I know there is no scheduled flash mob (I guess scheduling it would defeat the point so maybe we can still be hopeful?), but their efforts through social media need all of our input! The deadline for the project is VERY SOON, December 6th to be exact, and as tech-savvy collegiettes we all need to put our Twitters/Facebooks/YouTube/ every kind of social media knowledge to use.

How do you go about this? Well first log onto Twitter with the handle LN_DeGenerates and be sure to tweet at Ellen using the hashtag #bentley4ellen. There is also a Facebook page called Ellen’s Degenerates that you can “like” and comment on.Finally, there is a YouTube account already displaying students’ creations and favorites, and we are encouraging you to create video testimonials of why YOU would like to see Ellen here! Please show your support for Alyssa’s class, Bentley students, and Ellen DeGeneres in our pursuit of getting her to Bentley!
