Recently, I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding my makeup and skin. I thought it would be fun to answer a few of your questions online for everyone to see! If you have any more questions or ideas for more beauty posts, comment them below or email me here!

Here are some questions I got last week:

Q: What is your daily skincare routine?

A:
In the morning:

1. gentle cleanser
2. toner
3. moisturizer

At night:

1. eye makeup remover
2. cleanser
3. liquid exfoliator
4. moisturizer
5. eye cream

All of the skincare products I use are from the Aveda Sensitive Skin and the Aveda Botanical Kinetics line.
When I’m in a rush (or feeling lazy) to get my makeup off, Neutrogena Make-up remover cleansing towelettes are a great!

Q: How do you get foundation to last all day?

A: For foundation to last, you must first blot the oil off of your face. Also, do not put moisturizer on right before you do your makeup. Wait a while for it to be absorbed otherwise it will remove the makeup. Then, you MUST use a primer. After applying a thin layer of foundation, you should set it with powder. I love Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder, and MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural.

Q: Do you touch up your make-up throughout the day?

A: The only thing I ever touch up is my lipstick because it fades after I eat. Otherwise, the rest of my makeup usually stays in place if I use primer.

Q: What is your favorite drugstore (or inexpensive) product?

A: MASCARA. Mascara dries out quickly, and needs to be replaced often. Although I do own high end mascaras, I find myself smacking myself in the head for buying one when I could get three different ones with the same amount of money from a drug store. They both do the same job (make your lashes long and voluminous) for very different prices.

My favorite drugstore mascara brands are Maybelline, Rimmel London and Covergirl. They offer so many fun kinds of mascara with different wands, bristles, and consistencies along with super cute packaging. Lately, I’ve been reaching for Maybelline Mega Plush Volume Express over all of my luxury brands that cost about three to five times the price.
