4 Healthier Thanksgiving Recipes You Don’t Want to Miss

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bentley chapter.

The time is here… feasting time! The day when we all eat until we feel sick yet do it every year anyway. If you are cooking the Thanksgiving feast this year, here are some easy, healthier recipes for the foods you love!

  1. Pumpkin Pie – this recipe uses coconut sugar as a substitute for white or brown sugar and whole wheat flour instead of white.
  2. Sweet Potato Casserole – unsweetened almond milk is used in this recipe, as well as coconut oil instead of butter.
  3. Stuffing – this recipe is a low-sodium option that uses light butter, but is still delicious!
  4. Mashed Potatoes – these healthier potatoes use low-fat sour cream, and olive oil instead of butter. Potatoes are loaded with potassium, which is another benefit!

Happy feasting!
