Buon giorno! In this week’s travel guide we head to the delightful city of Florence, Italy to explore all that it has to offer. This enchanting city is home to beautiful art, colorful architecture, and (of course) delicious food and wine. Here are a few of our top recommendations for a trip to Florence:

Walk up to the Piazzale Michelangelo for a Stunning View

Grab a bottle of wine and some snacks and head up to this spot near sunset time for a beautiful view of the city.

Head to the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery

Florence is filled with incredible Renaissance-era masterpieces like Michelangelo’s statue of David and the Gates of Paradise, so be sure not to miss these two famous museums.

Climb Il Duomo

Be sure to check out this stunning cathedral in the center of the city. Get your camera ready to capture amazing photos of what stands as the symbol of this beautiful city.

Work on Your Bartering Skills in the Leather Markets

Get your souvenirs at the vast leather markets in Florence. From wallets and purses to sandals and belts, these vendors sell everything. It is a must see!

Cross the Famous Ponte Vecchio

No trip to Florence could be complete without a visit to this iconic landmark. Adorned with shops and filled with strolling pedestrians, this bridge offers a glimpse into life in Florence in the 13th century.

Enjoy all of the Delicious Food

There is an endless supply of scrumptious food to be found in Florence but we have a couple of favorites to share. Brave the lines to try a panini at All’Antico Vinaio. Stick your face into a bowl of pasta at Osteria Santo Spirito. Then, head to Mercato Centrale and grab casual bite.

We hope these tips help you to plan the perfect trip! Bon Voyage!
