Times Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Perfectly Summed Up Your Relationship With Your Best Friend

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are without a doubt Hollywood’s funniest and most amazing dynamic duo. While the two recently played siblings in the motion picture Sisters, below is a series of times these lovely leading ladies perfectly described your relationship with your best friend.

You’re expert stalkers, and you’re proud of it. No one doubts you because together, anyone can be found. You’re so good, you scare people but instead of being self-conscious of your persistence you take it as a compliment. And don’t judge, you all do it.

You have those moments where you make jokes or references that are just too good not to be celebrated. Everyone else might not get them but hey, that doesn’t matter.

Trying to be serious for more than five seconds is actually impossible. Even when placed in a situation where laughing is not appropriate, neither of you can contain yourselves. You try to hold it in but the second you look at each other the laughter comes pouring out. And who knows when it will stop… it’s a common occurrence to take your jokes way too far.

You share a very specific and exclusive list of celebrity crushes. You are even willing to sacrifice precious time to watch terrible movies just because one of your man candies stars in it.

You have those days where you hate pretty much everyone except for each other. The good thing is, you tend to hate the same people. One person’s enemies become the others. You may not even know the person but if your BFF doesn’t like them then you don’t either. End of story.

You have the same taste in men and can’t even pass by someone attractive without both of you going into a trance/creepy stare or making overt gestures to assure your BFF doesn’t miss the view. However if you don’t have the same taste, you still know exactly what each other’s is as if it were your own. So it’s practically the same thing.

When you hear something juicy, you must first report the information to each other. There is no such thing as “withholding information” between you two.

You’re always looking out for each other no matter what.

One of you is much more knowledgeable about common or not-so-commonsense things than the other. This has required long conversations, millions of questions and countless explanations. But that’s ok because the learning experience is nothing short of eye opening (and absolutely hilarious).

You channel your elementary schoolgirl selves and make code names for specific things and people. While you think you’re clever in your choices, they are often much more obvious than you think.

Any significant others or potential significant others need to be okay with all the weirdness that encompasses your best friend. If they can’t be comfortable around them then it’s not uncommon for you to rethink your love interest.

Not one day goes by that you aren’t beyond thankful for each other.
