Feeling nostalgic? What better way to remember the good old days than with some fun and comical throwback movies? This list will provide you with a list of movies that will surely bring back some happy memories of your childhood along with some other classics that will truly never get old. 3…2…1…ACTION!

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986)

This one is one of my favorites. In this comedy, protagonist Ferris Bueller decides to take a day off school with his best friend, Cameron, and his girlfriend, Sloane. They take on the streets of Chicago to have the time of their lives, as principal of their school follows their every move. It’s truly a lighthearted and funny movie perfect for any day.

The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003)

I probably watched this movie over a hundred times when I was younger. In this movie, Lizzie and her friends go on a school trip to Rome. At Rome, Lizzie meets a famous local singer, Paolo, and she soon finds out that she looks exactly like his duet partner. In the end, Lizzie decides to stand in for his duet partner at a huge concert, culminating with the iconic performance of the song “What Dreams Are Made Of.”

The Breakfast Club (1985)

A classic. In this movie, five high school students spend an entire Sunday at school in detention. The five of them all are tasked to write an essay about who they think they are. Throughout the movie they all share their stories, learning more about each other, and in the end they find out that “each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basket case, a princess, and a criminal.”

Freaky Friday (2003)

Talk about walking a mile in someone else’s shoes. In this movie, mother and daughter, Tess and Anna, switch bodies after receiving magical fortune cookies at a Chinese restaurant. Forced to impersonate each other for one freaky Friday, they find out a lot about each other. It’s an overall funny and entertaining movie you’ll want to re-watch with all your friends.

Grease (1975)

Another classic. In this musical romantic comedy, good girl Sandy falls in love with greaser Danny over the summer. They later discover that they actually attend the same high school, and so they are able to rekindle their love. We recommend watching this one with your friends so that you can all sing along and dance to the catchy tunes together, throughout the film.

There are also so many other throwback movies you could watch such as Dirty Dancing, Sixteen Candles and Back to the Future. You could also watch some that are slightly more recent like High School Musical and Mean Girls. Hope you all enjoyed this list and can make some time to watch any of these. Happy streaming!
