Ten Reasons Why Tom Hiddleston Is Perfect

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Recently, thanks to one of my coworkers at the Atlanta History Center this summer, I’ve developed a bit of a crush on the beautiful Tom Hiddleston. I didn’t really understand what was so great about him until I watched The Avengers. Yes, he is the villain in this movie and basically tries to take over the world. Yes, he has weird, long, slicked back black hair as Loki. But for some reason, I still found myself loving him in this movie, and in real life, he’s actually an amazing person. So here are ten reasons why Tom Hiddleston is a perfect human being (and my future husband. What, who said that?).

1. He has an English accent.

Need I say anything else? It’s just a fact: no matter what they’re saying, people will always sound better with an English accent. Sorry to everyone else in the world, but we all just have to accept it.

2. He speaks a lot different languages.

I’m not sure exactly how many languages he speaks, but apparently he’s proficient in German and Spanish, and can speak some French.

3. He went to Eton and then studied at Pembroke College at University of Cambridge.

So not only is he beautiful, but he’s also incredibly smart and well educated. In one of his Twitter Q&A sessions, he said that Anna Karenina is one of his favorite books, and T.S. Elliot’s “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” is his favorite poem.

4. Even though he plays a villain, in real life he’s a genuinely good person.

5. He does a lot of charity work.

He’s done a lot of work with UNICEF, including traveling to Guinea and documenting what he saw there. You can read his online journal here

6. He says beautiful things about life, love, and relationships.

7.  Sometimes he sings in cars

Yes, he may not be the best singer, but he sings. Which makes him even better.

8. He takes selfies with his fans.

9. His bromance with Chris Hemsworth is great.

Apparently these t-shirts happened? I don’t hate it.

10. He’s beautiful.

I couldn’t write this article and not include the fact that he’s beautiful. I mean, look at that smile and his beautiful blue eyes.
