Meet Kelly Roy- Wisconsin native, sailing all-star, super-hottie, and my roommate! K. Roy (as she is affectionately known amongst her closest friends) likes the Packers, Jimmy Buffett, and a good shopping trip to Newbury Street or Harvard Square. When she’s not hanging out with her incredible roommates, you can find her hanging out with the BC Sailing team doing whatever it is those national champions do.

BC Life
Best class you’ve ever taken? My senior year high school English class— the teacher was awesome. He gave us tons of life advice out of Shakespeare.
Worst class? Ecology. I can’t even talk about it.
What is your favorite thing about living off-campus? Having my own room
What is your least favorite thing about living off-campus? It can be inconvenient sometimes. There are sometimes things going on campus that I would want to go to, but it is inconvenient to get there.
What is your favorite part about living in Boston? I love that it is a young city considering all of the colleges here.
Hillside or Eagles Nest: Hillside- but last year every Monday I got Caesar salad with popcorn chicken and I ate every bite. And I am not apologizing for it.
Bapst or O’Neill: I don’t go to the library. I study in my bed.
Most embarrassing moment at BC: I slipped on orange juice in Mac and completely wiped out in front of a bunch of people.
Fun Facts
Favorite Musician/band: Katy Perry
Favorite type of cheese: Cheddar
Favorite clothing Store: Anthropologie
Celebrity Crush: Leonardo DiCaprio
Favorite Food: Cheetos
Favorite Animal: Frog (sidenote: our apartment is filled with frogs…like everywhere)
Worst habit: Snoring and talking in my sleep
Favorite Movie: Slumdog Millionaire
Favorite TV show: Charmed
Biggest pet peeve: Slow walkers (I can attest to this: K. Roy is a speed demon on the way to class!)
What do you miss most about Wisconsin? Sailing on fresh water. And cheese curds.
Athletic Life
How long have you been sailing: I got my first boat for my fifth birthday… so a while.
What is unique about the sailing team compared to other teams at BC: Unlike most other colleges, it’s a co-ed team, which makes all of us really close.
The best part of being an athlete at BC?: The gear. And having a team- it’s nice to have that group of people outside your regular group of friends to hang out with it.
