To Infinity and Beyond: The Low-Down on Infinity Scarves

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Normally I would write about getting ready for spring break or looking for spring clothing, but considering it’s 20 degrees outside, I think infinity scarves are still relevant. Throwing an over-sized infinity scarf on with an outfit can create a trendy, urban look, or just cover up the outfit you didn’t have time to put together this morning.

Urban Outfitters offers some pretty perfect infinity scarves, in both the women and men’s department. Bonus points for women: we can usually pull off men’s wear. Both of these scarves have a thick quality that can help you through the walk from your dorm to Hillside.

Women’s Colorblock Oversized Eternity Scarf and Men’s Knit Marled Circle Scarf

For those of us who love a pop of color, Etsy offers their Crocheted Infinity Scarf in eleven different colors. Eleven. That’s a lot of online decision-making. Buy these handmade scarves here

I stumbled upon this site last week and I find it absolutely ingenious. Bourbon and Boots offers this Infinity scarf in five different styles and 26 different colors. Again, decisions must be made. Their description sums up everything we love about scarves: “Wearing a scarf is the closest you can get to wrapping a blanket around your neck in public.” Word, Bourbon and Boots.

These scarves aren’t only cute, but they’re also one of the most practical things, especially for this frigid tundra, you can buy. I know we’d rather be spending money on shorts and tanks, but we should always heed to the words of esteemed hero, Buzz Lightyear: “To Infinity and Beyond!”
