If I Could Only Break-Up With BC Laundry

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Dear BC Laundry,

It’s not me.  It’s you.  This is turning into an unhealthy relationship, and there are some things that I really need to get off my chest.

First, you are always busy.  I feel so clingy always checking in with you to see when you’re free.  But when you finally tell me that you are available, I go downstairs and find five other girls standing there and hanging out with you.  It is so embarrassing to have to walk back up to my room alone, while you are surrounded by biddies.  And don’t try to tell me that they “just showed up,” I know you were telling them the same things that you told me.

Also, every time you say that it will only take you one minute to be ready, I end up waiting ten more minutes.  Do you think that your time is worth more than mine?  Because it’s not!  I have plenty of more productive things I could be doing, like pinning cupcake recipes.  Instead, I’m standing in your stinky room, while you get your stuff together.

Furthermore, I know this is a little intimate, but you haven’t been performing that great lately.  60 minutes seems like plenty of time to get the job done, but it seems like more often than not, you need a second round to finish it off.

The worst part about this relationship is that you are too convenient.  I have tried seeing other Laundromats, but none of them are as close to my room or understand why I prefer Eagle Bucks to quarters.  I hate that I can’t leave you, but I wish I could let you go.

Love,

HC BC
