How to Rock the Color Purple in Support of Relay for Life!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

As Kick-Off Week for Relay for Life comes to a close, the Relay for Life Committees want to go out big with a purple out! From places around campus to fellow students’ outfits, support for Relay for Life and the fight to find a cure for cancer are seen everywhere. Wondering how you can rock the color purple to support Relay for Life? Here is some purple inspiration, handpicked by the Boston College Relay for Life Event Chairs and Sub-Committee Chairs!

Kendall Stemper, Entertainment Co-Chair, found inspiration abroad in the lovely Pippa Middleton.

Amanda Davis, Special Events Co-Chair, believes that even on a rainy day you can show your support! Maybe you will even feel royal like Queen Elizabeth II.

James Italian, Media Chair, discovered a fashion that shows your support for Relay for Life in more ways than one. A shirt like this is a simple DIY project with a purpose!

Troy Vagianelis, Entertainment Co-Chair, loves the boldness in Katy Perr’s purple hair. It’s strong and bold, just like all of those who fight the battle against cancer.

Claire Ritten, Recruitment Co-Chair, snapped a picture of her roommate who not only got to cheer on her favorite sports team but also got to show her support for Relay.

Casey Osgood, Event Co-Chair, loves the message and work of the American Cancer Society. By spreading the message of Relay, even through your clothing, we all can hope to find a cure.

Emily Hoffman, Special Events Co-Chair, knows that the weather in Boston is starting to get cooler, and the best way to stay warm is with a purple scarf in support of Relay for Life.

Megan Aitro, Team Relations Co-Chair, loves the fierceness of Beyonce in purple. We can all be as confident as Beyonce in how we rock purple.

Meghan Gibbons, Corporate Sponsorship Co-Chair, embraces the popularity of purple in the fall by rocking a purple manicure. She is “all hands in” for helping to find a cure for cancer.

Whether through an accessory, shirt, hair color, nail color or your personal fashion spin, there are many ways to show your support for Relay for Life and the dedication of the American Cancer Society to help find a cure for cancer.
