How to Have Eyebrow Game

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

If you don’t know who Cara Delevingne is, I slightly don’t blame you. However, if you haven’t heard about her eyebrows, you’re living under a bushy-browed rock. Cara’s eyebrows have officially brought back the thick, full eyebrow look, and for good reason. Just look at her brows; they’re iconic.

Other than Frida Kahlo’s infamous brow (singular), eyebrows on celebrities have been mostly overlooked until now. Cara’s eyebrows have not only started a beauty trend, but also spurred better-looking makeup tactics. While some of you might think that thick eyebrows look ridiculous, they actually can add the perfect “uumph” to your look.

Thick eyebrows help distract the eye from the ever-present, dark, under-eye circles while also giving your makeup a solid, effortless-like foundation. With eyebrows as the statement of your face, you can get away with less makeup and an all around softer look.

To get the brows in the first place, Sephora offers a few eyebrow essentials.

My personal favorite and go-to: Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Eyebrow Kit. The kit gives you step-by-step instructions on how to fill in your brows. It even gives you stencils depending on how thick of a shape you’re looking for. This kit is a miracle worker, I swear.

Instead of plucking away in hopes of attaining a perfect arch, thick eyebrows give you more wiggle room in terms of shape and look. And it takes the pressure off of us to tweeze every little stray hair. While most of us might be lacking Cara’s jaw-dropping bone structure (literally), we can still get the statement brows. So drop the tweezers and embrace this “Power Brow” beauty craze.
