How to Cleanse it Out After Marathon Monday

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

What better way is there to celebrate Marathon Monday than eating pounds of El Pelon, Crazy Dough’s, and topping it all off with some sugary drinks?  Well now that the best day of the year has come and passed, it’s time for your body to recover.  Here are some quick cleanses that will make you as good as new

Ginger-berry smoothie

For all of you over 21 who may be feeling the bitter sting of a horrible hangover, here’s a recipe for a hangover-cure smoothie.

  • Coconut milk
  • Frozen mixed berries
  • One banana
  • Fresh ginger
  • Cinnamon

Combine 250ml coconut milk,
 150g frozen mixed berries,
1 medium banana (I chop mine up and pop it in the freezer first – this makes for a creamier ‘milkshake’ style smoothie),
1/2 chunk fresh ginger, and a
dash cinnamon to taste.  Blend and enjoy!
