HCBC Rewind: Favorite Foods From When You Were a Kid

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Do you ever get the cravings of a five year old and wish you were a kid again so you could indulge in all those delicious snacks?  Whenever I think of a certain snack from my childhood, there is always a memory attached, which makes the taste that much better.  Here is a trip down memory lane of some of those epic foods you ate growing up that seem to have disappeared from your diet now (or are only eaten as guilty pleasures).

Dunkaroos

There never seemed to be enough icing for all of my cookies.

Lunchables

Whenever I had one of these in my lunchbox I knew that I had to have been on my mom’s good side… or she was too lazy to make my lunch this morning.

Chupa Chups Lollipops

The fact that they had pictures of N*SYNC and Spice Girls on the wrapper just seemed to make them taste that much better.  The pink ones were by far the best.

Gushers

These were the ultimate lunchtime snack.  No matter how badly your friends wanted one, you were never going to share.  They were just too good.

Kool-Aid Bursts

It only took one sip to finish one of these, but it was so good.  And don’t lie, you pretended the tops were retainers, too.

Bagel Bites

The minute they came out of the oven, you had to take a bite.  Despite burning your tongue, these treats tasted so good.

Go-Gurt

It’s only yogurt, but how could you not like something that is socially acceptable to slurp in public?

Bubble Tape

The size of Bubble Tape that you gave out depended on how much you liked the person.  But you know that the biggest piece always went to yourself.

Ring Pops, Push Pops and Baby Bottle Pops

You know the minute you saw the picture you started singing the catchy theme song.

Chef Boyardee

I could eat this every night for dinner, and I will admit even as a 21-year-old college student I indulge in my late night Beefaroni craving.
