Fall for These New TV Series

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

We are only a couple of weeks into classes, yet those carefree summer days seem to be a distant memory. Our agendas are filled with essays and readings, rather than beach-going and barbeques. As we pack up our shorts and t-shirts and exchange them for sweaters, the crisp fall air brings with it a crop of new television series that gives us an hour of vacation to bring us back to that care-free feeling of summer and sanity. Here are the new series this fall worth tuning in to week after week.

Chicago Fire (NBC)
Premieres: October 10th at 10/9c
Things are about to get hot at Chicago Firehouse 51! Dick Wolf, of Law & Order fame, brings to NBC a new fiery drama that follows the lives of firefighters in the Windy City that put their lives on the line. Starring Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, and David Eisenburg, Chicago Fire is bound to be one of the hottest shows this fall.

Nashville (ABC)
Premieres: October 10th at 10/9c
Music City is the stage for ABC’s fall drama starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere. Britton plays Rayna James, country music’s fallen star who is looking to get back on top of the charts. Panettiere plays the country teen sensation Juliette Barnes, stealing the limelight from Ms. Rayna James. Nashville hits all the right notes with rivalry, politics, and sex.

Animal Practice (NBC)
Premieres: September 26th at 8/7c
Justin Kirk stars in the NBC comedy as a Dr. House-like vet with a very funny and very furry companion Crystal the monkey (The Hangover Part II, Community) as Dr.Rizzo. Prepare yourself for a lot of monkeying around on NBC’s Animal Practice.

Arrow (CW)
Premieres: Wednesday, October 10th at 8/7c
CW is on point with the fall series Arrow. Stephen Amell stars as Queen, the Green Arrow. Queen is a playboy by day and crime-fighter by night who honed his archery skills on a deserted island for five years, after surviving a boating accident that killed his father. He returns to civilization to avenge his father’s death and clear his family name.
