Boston: Shows You Don’t Want to Miss

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

If I’m like most BC students, I find it hard to leave Netflix and drag myself into Boston on the weekends. Despite the rarity of dates in this ever-present hook-up culture, these shows still deem awesome for the single ladies, and dudes, who want to utilize this amazing city we have in our backyard. I don’t have to convince you that these shows are awesome; the words “Justin Timberlake” speak for themselves.

Any given weekend:

For those into stand-up comedy, Nick’s Comedy Stop has a relaxed lounge setting with at least 3 guest comedians per show. I went here last weekend and I totally recommend it for a one-on-one date or just a night out with friends. It’s in the theatre district; so if you have time, make sure to grab dinner there. My personal favorite: Abby Lane.

Buy tickets here.

February 5th-28th:

The Blue Man Group, a frequent Las Vegas attraction, performs in Boston all this month. The Blue Man Group does a mash-up of technology, music, and comedy to give you enough entertainment for the rest of the semester. The tickets can be pretty reasonable depending on what day you’re going.

To Help Post-Spring Break Blues:

From the creators of South Park, the Broadway show The Book of Mormon has won 9 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. This show comes to Boston during the whole month of April, with tickets on sale now.

The Most Important Thursday of Your Life:

February 27th. Justin Timberlake. TD Garden. 8:00 pm. Since his ‘N Sync days, this man has graced our lives with his presence, and it’s only right we grace him with ours at his concert. The 20/20 Experience World Tour will change lives. Be prepared to say goodbye to the new spring break dress you were saving for—get tickets here.

Born and raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Kelly is a Senior at Boston College studying Communications and Marketing. She loves the fashion and beauty industries. She's had lots of experience with women and their tastes, given her all-girls high school background. At BC, she's involved in Strong Women Strong Girls, Student Admissions Program, and is an account management intern for Hill Holliday . When she catches a break, Kelly spends an obscene amount of time on Buzzfeed, rewatching Breaking Bad on Netflix, and attempting to workout.
