Stickers are totally necessary! For your laptop, preferably a macbook, to add some personality to the boring grey cover. People will know a lot about you just taking a glance at your laptop! If you have a water bottle (preferably a Swell Bottle), slap some more stickers on it – because the twenty stickers you have on your computer just isn’t enough… Something Lilly Pulitzer or Vineyard Vines. The stereotype is true – BC is super preppy. I can’t count on my fingers the amount of Vineyard Vines fleeces I see on campus during the fall and winter. And in the spring, Lilly dresses are usually a go-to first day of classes outfit. Even Patagonia fleeces for the colder weather and Jack Rogers to match your Lilly dress are all must-haves for the school year! You gotta have patience to wait in line at Addie’s and Eagles for a salad or a flatbread – the lines can get unbearable, but the food is always worth it. I once waited a whole 50 minutes for an Eagle’s salad – it sounds ridiculous but Andrea (the women working the salad bar) always hooks you up with a bomb salad. On top of that, you have to start your day with a caramel macchiato from Addie’s. Not only is it on your meal plan (unlike Hillside or Starbucks at On The Fly) but they pour in the caramel. Also, a giant cookie from Hillside once in a while – get them while they are still warm! A stick on card holder for your iphone – a recent trend, but definitely necessary for convenience. You will never lose track of your student ID! Get them for free at student services! Also, carry around a portable charger – your phone will lose battery throughout the day. Get an extra long charger for your room for all those times you can’t reach your phone in bed.
Light up your dorm room with some cute firefly lights or get some color-changing lights! Also get a cute tapestry to take some pics with your friends before a night out. Keep your walls covered with cute pics of you and your friends! Get some sports jerseys, a Hawaiian shirt and neon clothes for themed parties – I can promise you that there will be themed parties throughout the year! Also get Converse or Vans you are willing to ruin for mod or off-campus parties. For football tailgates, you’ll want to get some BC colored beads to show your school spirit. Add a Gasongram to your insta account – show off how beautiful our school is and it’s an opportunity to get an artsy pic! Gasson is always photogenic no matter what season it is. Sources:
