Ask HC BC: Soon to be Solo Sophomore

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter.

Dear HC BC,

Even though I’m almost finished with my first year of college, I don’t feel like I am involved with anything.  I was really active in high school, but now I rarely do anything.  I know I can join clubs next year, but I’m worried everyone will already have their groups and it’ll be hard to make friends.

– Soon-To-Be Solo Sophomore?

Dear Soon-To-Be Solo Sophomore,

Although people in the clubs will already know some of the other people, that doesn’t mean they won’t want to be your friend!  Not to mention, I’m sure you’re not the only new sophomore, so that would even be a good bonding point.  I know people who joined new clubs all the way up through their senior year.  Don’t worry about it!

Good luck,

HC BC
