One thing that I did not plan for when coming to college was the amount of events that I would need dresses for. Especially since joining a sorority, I’ve been surprised with semi formals, sports formals, frat birthdays, and other events for which I have nothing to wear. If this sounds familiar to you, or if you have an event coming up, I’ve compiled a list of my four favorite websites (besides every girl’s staples like Forever 21 and Lulu’s) where you can find affordable dresses that will stand out in the crowd!
Selfie Leslie
I saw this dress that I fell in LOVE with a few weeks ago on the Instagram explore page, and immediately went to the girl’s comments to find out where she got it and was introduced to Selfie Leslie! It is the cutest online boutique, but some dresses may fall on the pricier side depending on your budget. Here are some of my favorite dresses on the website right now:
Princess Polly
If you follow any ~influencers~ on Instagram or Youtube, I’m sure you’ve heard the name Princess Polly! This website is known for their dresses and they’re often worn bysorority girls on social media for rush and formals. If you are looking for a dress that’s trendy and simple, Princess Polly is the place for you!
Pretty Little Thing
Pretty Little Thing is my new go-to for affordable and cute clothes, and they seem to always have some sort of sale going on (like 50% off right now!!), which is definitely a plus!
ASOS
Last, but definitely not least, is ASOS! ASOS has a huge selection, including a variety of brands, price ranges, and lines of dresses like tall, plus, and petite, so everybody can find something for them! What I love about ASOS is their huge sale section (can you tell I always shop in clearance??) and their free shipping and returns! Also, if you are trying to shop environmentally friendly, ASOS has a section called “responsible”, where you can easily find clothes made of recyclable or sustainable materials!!
