One of my newfound interests this summer was delving into the gigantic world of skincare. Stepping into it for the first time, I can admit it’s overwhelming choosing from a plethora of products that you’re not sure what benefits they have. It’s even more difficult picking products while you’re not trying to break your bank! Here are some of my favorite skincare products I have experimented with in the past few months that individually price under $20.

Garnier SKINACTIVE Micellar Cleansing Water

Garnier, target.com, $6.59, shop now

I consider this micellar cleansing water the holy grail of all liquid makeup removers. The cleanser works wonders for removing tough makeup like mascara or foundation. The best part about it is that it’s gentle so it won’t cause irritation even for those with sensitive skin. After a long day, I love using this product to help leave my skin feel clean and fresh.

Heritage Store Rosewater Facial Toner

Heritage Store, ulta.com, $11.79, shop now

This toner is great if you’re searching for a refreshing way to help your complexion. The added hyaluronic acid gives added hydration to your skin which is great for any skin type. Since it contains rosewater the product smells amazing! Best of all, it’s a natural fragrance that won’t cause breakouts. For application, simply pour a small amount onto a cotton pad and gently wipe on your face and neck.

Lumene Nordic-C Glow Boost Essence Serum

Lumene, target.com, $12.99, shop now

This serum might be tiny in size, but it will give your skin a gorgeous glow. With one of its ingredients being vitamin c, it has effects that will cure any dull skin moments. What I love about this product is that you only need to use a small amount per use and it’s vegan friendly. The small bottle is great if you’re looking simply to sample the product and if you do fall in love with it you can purchase a larger size.

Weleda Skin Food Light Nourishing Cream

Weleda, target.com, $9.99, shop now

As someone who has skin on the drier side, this product is a lifesaver. I chose to go with the light nourishing cream since during the summer my skin is less dry, but there is an ultra-rich cream if you want even more moisturizing benefits. This moisturizer is super light and applies smoothly on the face and your body. There is a floral smell to the cream itself, but it is natural due to there being no added fragrances to the product. If you’re looking for a simple moisturizer with natural ingredients, this is an amazing product.

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5

The Ordinary, ulta.com, $6.80, shop now

One of my favorite ingredients I have discovered recently is hyaluronic acid. The acid part might sound intimidating, but this product only helps hydrate your skin. The B5 in the name also refers to the vitamin B5 that also aids in hydrating your skin. You can use this product alone as a moisturizer or use it along with another moisturizer. It’s super lightweight and gentle so it’s great for those with sensitive skin.

Versed Vacation Eyes Brightening Eye Gel

Versed, target.com, $17.99, shop now

For those who struggle from dark under circles beneath the eyes from lack of sleep, like myself, this product comes in for the assist. This is another product that contains vitamin c, so it will have a brightening effect on those baggy eyes. You can even add a tiny bit onto your eyelids and temples too if those areas need some help. Be warned, a little of this product goes a long way so only a small drop is necessary for each undereye area.

Shea Moisture Matcha Green Tea & Probiotics Soothing Toner & Hydrating Mist

Shea Moisture, target.com, $5.49, shop now

This facial mist is one of the best smelling and refreshing I have encountered. I like to incorporate this into my daily skincare routine but also during the day to use it as a quick refresher if my skin feels sweaty or oily. The matcha green tea and witch hazel are both wonderful ingredients to help tone down any redness you might have on your face.
