How To Prepare For The Vans Warped Tour 2013

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ASU chapter.

It’s almost that time of the year again. Van’s Warped Tour 2013 is right around the corner, so get your tickets and bags ready because June 27th is almost here! Like many events in our lives, we don’t know what to bring and sometimes over pack – which is never a good thing. So here at Her Campus ASU, we are going to tell you what to do to make sure you have a great time at the concert!

  1. Wear comfy clothes and shoes. I recommend shorts and a tank top due to the scorching heat. Plus you can never go wrong with Vans!
  2. Get there early! Doors open at 11am and the lines get long pretty quick.
  3. Take a water bottle. Remember that we do live in the desert so hydrate yourself!
  4. Check out the band line up. You don’t want to miss out on your favorite bands.
  5. Charge your phones the night before. Incase you and your friends get separarted, you can always call each other.
  6. Think of a ‘meet up’ spot if you guys separate and go your separate ways.
  7. Make sure your cameras have memory space and full battery life.
  8. Take a small bag to carry your belongings.
  9. Have a full meal before you get to the venues: it saves you money!
  10. Laslty, stop worrying and just have FUN!

Caroline Ortiz is currently a senior at Arizona State University majoring in English Literature with a minor in Film and Media Production. She co-founded the ASU Her Campus branch at her university in the spring of 2013 and is very happy to be a part of the Her Campus team! Apart from being involved with Her Campus, she is the Chief of Staff for ASU's Programming and Activities Board (PAB), a student run organization that strives to give their student body the best Sun Devil experience, Secretary of Las Hermanas of the Hispanic Mother Daughter Program, a club striving to provide a supportive and encouraging environment to University Latinas, a Trendspotter for MTV Insights, and was previously a Cosmopolitan Magazine Campus Representative! When she is not busy studying Literature (which requires reading endless amounts of Norton Editions) participating in PAB, Las Hermanas or crewing for a film, she enjoys her time off reading YA novels, magazine, shopping and brainstorming new and exciting things for HC ASU. Her ultimate goal is to move to a metropolitan city and become an Editor-in-Chief for a publishing house or crewing for a feature film!
