Former Forbes Publisher Joins ASU Faculty

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at ASU chapter.

ASU is known for their renowned staff, and it looks like they’re adding someone else to the elite mix of faculty.

After working there for nearly 20 years, the Former publisher of Forbes magazine, Jeff Cunningham, will be joining ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication as well as the W.P. Carey School of Business.

Cunningham has had an extensive amount of experience by working at Forbes, founding Directorship Magazine, serving as an advisor to several Fortune 500 CEOs, holding the position as senor executive at BusinessWeek, as well as holding many corporate directorships and interviewing some of the biggest names in business, including Warren Buffett and Meg Whitman.

Students at W.P. Carey will benefit from Cunningham’s business experiences, while students at the Cronkite School will gain firsthand experience from someone who worked in the field of business journalism- one of the most profitable angles for journalists to take with their writing.

ASU is no stranger to notable faculty.

Former CNN host Aaron Brown and Donald Johanson, famous for the discovery of Lucy, currently teach classes at ASU among other notable faculty.

My name is Alejandra Guillen and I am a junior at Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and at Barrett, the Honors College. As most people do, I enjoy sleep, food (especially of the breakfast, gravy and meat varieties), and Ryan Gosling.
