The day equivalent to Christmas for those of Greek life: Bid Day.
Bid day is a day where sororities welcome the new members into their chapter and each girl who participated in recruitment finds out her new home. Bid Day is the day all the hard work put into rush pays off. Last Tuesday, September 2, each Arizona State sorority welcomed approximately 80 new members into their chapter. Tears of joy, house chants and an MC announcing the new women of each house filled the Old Main field. There is nothing quite like seeing the joy radiating off the faces of new members running down the stairs of Old Main into their new house.
With that being said, congratulations to all the young women who have found their new home. Welcome to the best four years of your life.
