Adele is finally back after a three year break from her career, and from the reviews of her new song, she came back into the business in style. She released Hello on October 23rd  and ever since, critics have sung her praise, making the anticipation for her new album, 25, almost unbearable.

Adele’s video for Hello reached a record breaking 27.7 million views in its first 24 hours. This beats Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video by 7.9 million views, making it the number one placeholder for most views in the first day. She also broke Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball video record for reaching 100 million views the fastest.

Us Weekly did an interview with Adele to find out just what her new song is about. According to Adele, Home is about growing up and becoming an adult, while leaving all of the drama and unimportant things behind. This song is basically an apology from Adele to all of the people she has ever hurt. Home is just a preview for her album, which she says is all about righting the wrongs of her past.

25, expected to be on shelves November 20th, is the first album from Adele since 2011. Not long after the release of her 2011 album, entitled 21, Adele suffered a throat hemorrhage that caused her to take time off, but she was back at it by the Grammy’s in 2012 for her first performance since the procedure. After the Grammy’s, British tabloids released a statement that Adele was taking a five year break. Adele denied those rumors, but ended up taking a three year break instead due to a massive case of writer’s block. However, in those three years, she became a mother to a son named Angelo, and focused a lot on being a good parent.

The buzz from the recent music video has many people making speculations about the rest of the album. It is projected to outsell Taylor Swift’s 1989 album, giving Adele the coveted “Queen of Pop” title. Will that actually happen? Only time will tell.

It seems as if it is safe to say that Adele is back in the game, and she is on the fast track to the throne of the Queen of Pop.
