Finding good music is hard, and a lot of times there’s many good songs by our favorite artists that we don’t even know about because they get no time on the radio. This list shares some of the better and lesser known songs of some of today’s most popular musical artists.

1) Earned It by The Weeknd- This song is from the 50 Shades of Grey soundtrack and let me tell you, it’s a killer. Most of us probably weren’t too aware The Weeknd existed until he was featured in Ariana Grande’s song “Love Me Harder,” but listening to his soulful voice for four minutes is heavenly. It’s a sensual feel good song and you won’t be able to get enough of it.

2) Sober by Childish Gambino- Gambino sings about the effects his lost love has on his life, but with an up-tempo and catchy beat. Who can’t relate as he sings, “now that it’s over, I’ll never be sober.” Many are aware of Gambino’s song 3005, but try “Sober” instead, you won’t be disappointed.

3) Nirvana by Sam Smith- Sam Smith killed it at the Grammy’s this year, as he went home with four awards. We all love “Stay With Me,” but it has been a tad overplayed and can sometimes be a bit of a downer. A not-as-popular song by Smith to listen to, but the vocals remain just as powerful, so it’s still a pleasure to the ears, but the song won’t make you weepy or emotional.

4) One Last Time by Ariana Grande- This song is on a bit of an upward swing, but hasn’t totally broken onto the radio yet. Grande is almost an automatic hit maker, so it shouldn’t be too long before this song totally bursts onto the scene. Grande sings about an ex she would like to reconnect with and take home one more time, despite the hardships of their past relationship. The song topic might sound a bit depressing, but Grande sings “One Last Time” with flair, and honestly, how bad can a song by Mariah Carey’s mini-me be?

5) My Heart is Open by Maroon 5 featuring Gwen Stefani- Adam Levine and Stefani performed this song at the Grammy’s and let’s just say it was an emotional event. Maroon 5 and Stefani pair up for a beautiful and heart wrenching vocal performance. Levine shows power and range some might not know he even is capable of. (Sidenote: It doesn’t hurt to imagine Levine is singing the words directly to you.)

6) All of the Stars by Ed Sheeran- We all love a good Ed Sheeran song most of the time, including his latest hits “Sing” and “Thinking out Loud.” There’s something about this little, British ginger that just gets to us. Pair Sheeran with a song for the “Fault in Our Stars” soundtrack and it creates musical genius. “All of the Stars” sounds like a song from the heavens.

7) Girls by The 1975- British musicians are pulling out all the stops, whether that’s Adele, Sam Smith, Bastille or The 1975. The song with the most recognition for the band is “Chocolate,” but “Girls” has the same feel to it, but with a better twist that makes it impossible not to move around a bit.

8) All About You by Hilary Duff- I sincerely apologize if Hilary Duff was not one of the queens of your childhood, you really did miss out. Not many are knowledgeable of the fact that H. Duff is still making music to this present day. Her new single “All About You” is hopefully a precursor to an upcoming album. *Praise* The song won’t come close to comparing to “So Yesterday” or “Come Clean,” but it’s worth a listen for old time’s sake.
