Gilmore Girls
All seven seasons of this favorite are now on Netflix – hooray! You can kiss productivity and any last bit of motivation you had left goodbye, because you will be instantly hooked on this hilarious series. Lorelai and Rory’s relationship, adventures and struggles will steal your heart. If you find yourself laughing, crying and feeling frustrated all in the span of one episode – don’t worry, that’s normal.
Trailer Park Boys
For those of you who like It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, you will love Trailer Park Boys. Admittedly, it’s stupid humor; but sometimes a good, silly laugh is just the break we need from all the seriousness of the world. It’s centered around three felons, Bubbles, Ricky and Julian, who end up filming a “documentary” about their lives in a trailer park, and it’s HILARIOUS. If nothing else, the ridiculous schemes and petty crimes the boys come up with will make you feel a little bit better about your life.
American Horror Story
Warning: if you have a weak stomach, or are easily scared, this show is one you’ll want to skip. While it may turn off some viewers at first, American Horror Story is like a bad train wreck – once you’ve watched it once, you can’t help but watch it over and over again. It’s a perfect combination of mystery and horror, and in every episode there are flashbacks that answer any questions and allow connections to be made. It’s suspenseful, consistent, well-written and has genuine scares that aren’t forced… What more could you ask for?
Gossip Girl
Okay, this is one I’m even embarrassed to be writing, but I’m too addicted to it not to mention it. While the drama that Blair, Serena, Chuck, Nate, Dan and the rest of the crew bring to the screen is sometimes a little over the top, GG is one you’ll not be able to stop watching. The glamour of the Upper East Side and the scandal and romance of various couples throughout the seasons is an enticing combination. This show is perfect for days that you just want to lay in bed, watch Netflix and eat your heart out, and if you’ll undoubtedly fall in love with Chair (aka Chuck and Blair)..
