Did Kendall Jenner Really Just Delete Her Instagram?

Kendall Jenner, one of the most followed stars on social media, deleted her Instagram a few days ago. Her fans are going insane wondering what happened and why she deserted them so abruptly.

“I definitely have close friends, and even some family members, who are so connected to their phone and can’t get off of it,” Jenner said in a September interview with Allure. “That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn’t like it.”

Jenner announced that she was taking a social media hiatus because it has become an obsessive aspect in her life. She claimed that she saw obsessive behaviors in people all around her and it caused her to step back and really think about her own obsessive behaviors.

“I just wanted to detox,” Kendall explained. “I felt like I just wanted a little bit of a break. I’m always on it… I would wake up in the morning and I would look at it first thing, I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at. I felt a little too dependent on it, so I kinda wanted to take a minute to detox.”

The now 21-year-old supermodel just celebrated posting the most-liked Instagram picture of 2015. She has recently revealed her struggles with severe anxiety and sleep paralysis, so the social media detox should help her de-stress and prioritize the things that help her relax. She had the inspiration after her sister, Kim K, went off the grid of her social media after being robbed in Paris back in October.

“It’s really nice. I suggest it,” she told the audience at the Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I’m away from my phone so much more. You start to engage in real life and how you have to deal with real people right in front of you, so it’s kind of really nice to be away from it even if it’s just Instagram.”

Since beginning her social media cleanse, Kendall has been enjoying real life and spending time with her new niece, Dream Kardashian.

Fear not, collegiettes, Kendall has assured her loyal fans that her detox is not going to last forever. She will be back- she just does not know when. She revealed to Ellen that she didn’t even think people would notice that it was deleted. She didn’t think it would be as big of a deal as it has been.
