Trendsetter of the Week: Alice Wang

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Amherst chapter.

Alice Wang ’13 is this week’s Amherst trendsetter. If you’ve seen Alice’s impeccable style around campus, you know that she is pretty much always dressed to the nines–like I seriously doubt she owns a pair of sweatpants. Alice is great at finding amazing pieces from totally different kinds of stores and combining them seamlessly into a fashion-forward outfit. She is a prime example that you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on designer clothes to look simply amazing.

The first time I saw Alice wearing this outfit we were going to an information session for a job recruitment…and I just knew I had to shoot it for the site! One of my favorite things about this outfit is that it is so versatile. It’s great for a job information session, going to class, or going out to bars. I’m especially loving the animal print, the lace-up boots, and, of course, the detachable collar: three trendy items for this fall that are integrated flawlessly into a killer ensemble. Thanks, Alice, for sharing your amazing style with us!

Alice is wearing:

Skirt from Salvation Army

Collar Necklace from Forever 21

Tights from Urban Outfitters

Sweater from Zara (check out those elbow pads!!)

Bag from Urban Outfitters

Boots from Ebay (Designer Unknown)
