What is Boohoo?
Boohoo is a fashion website similar to NastyGal or ASOS. It’s based out of the UK but has become pretty popular here in the States as well!
What is the ambassador program and what do you do?
So basically I am an intern for the brand from AU’s campus. There are programs just like this at select campuses around the US and we all do the same thing. My job is to promote the brand here on campus, manage the social media accounts for Boohoo, and hold events so that more people get excited about who we are and what we do.
Why did you apply?
When I saw this opportunity online I realized how cool it would be to work in fashion PR (my dream career) and to gain real experience working with vendors and clients, as well as with designing and social media promoting. There is a lot of time and precision that goes into this position and I am working with some really great people in the industry.
What kind of things do you do?
We host on-campus events each semester. This semester we are hosting a Girl’s Night In, complete with movies and snacks – and even a fashion show. Girls can enter for a chance to win giveaways, and even score some free swag from Boohoo. In addition, we host many contests throughout the year to promote the brand.
