Why theatre: When I was in high school, [theatre] was one of the things that I was able to really pick up on. I think it was around my sophomore year that I realized it was something that I really loved. It was a passion, and I wanted to do it as a career. It was the thing I most enjoyed doing in high school and something I would enjoy doing for the rest of my life.

You were just in Three Penny Opera! What was the best part of the experience: The people that I met. The whole cast is just an amazing, talented group of people who I was just so blessed to have been able to work with.

Dream role: Mark from Rent. That was the first kind of musical that I really fell in love with and made me really want to pursue theater.

You’re from this area. Any enlightening DC hacks: This is kind of along the lines of theatre, but DC is actually one of the largest theater towns in the country, and it’s kind of a little-known fact. I think there are around 120 theaters in the DC area. DC has a lot of really great theatres and a lot of productions that are heading to Broadway and are actually coming to DC first. For example, a year or two ago I saw “If/Then” with Idina Menzel before it went to Broadway. It’s really cool how we have a city where they can bring such talent and really great theatre through.

Favorite quote: “Live every week like it’s Shark Week.” -30 Rock

Where do you see yourself in five years: Acting on stage, possibly in DC but hopefully I’ll be able to land a job in New York.

Chipotle or Cava: Cava
