Do you like to eat? Do you like to help people in need? What if we told you there was a way to do both simultaneously?!

Here’s how:

Step 1: Click here to reserve a challah by TUESDAY February 16th at 5 PM.

Step 2: Show up to the Hillel Office (in the basement of Kay) between 2-4 PM the following Friday.

Step 3: Make a donation of $5.

Step 4: Enjoy your freshly baked challah!

The proceeds are split between MAZON and Thrive DC.  MAZON is a national non-profit helping fight hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds in the United States and Israel. MAZON works with partners worldwide to provide funding and aid. Since 1986 they have awarded almost $80 million in grants.

Thrive DC was originally founded to serve dinner to homeless women but has grown to serve over 2,000 men, women and children yearly by providing meals, groceries, support, connections and resources to help people get back on their feet.

Finally, if you still need a reason to sign up, it makes great French toast on weekend mornings.
