A good boyfriend will sit through a 2-hour chick flick and never complain about his lack of interest. However, when girls must endure high-throttle action movies we tend to spend most of the time whining and not wanting to be there. If you want to spend quality time with your man and watch something you’ll BOTH enjoy, then we recommend the following 5 TV shows. Although these are considered “Bro Shows,” every girl needs to give them a chance and prepare to be fully entertained.
1. Blue Mountain State
BMS is absolutely hilarious! It follows a college football team as they live out the typical “American” college life filled with parties, hazing, girls, and some not-so-legal activities. Apart from causing side-splitting laughter, the main characters Thad and Alex are GORGEOUS…and shirtless at least once an episode. Although BMS was cancelled after its third season, you can watch all the episodes on Netflix.
2. Workaholics
Anders, Blake, and Adam are the three friends you wish you had. With a skewed sense of reality they spend most of their time goofing off at work and getting into ridiculous predicaments. Anders is the “serious” one who can’t let go of his days on the college swim team, Blake seems to just want to have a good time and hangout with his bros, and Adam’s dream is to be a professional body builder. The things they say are always absurd and guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
3. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
If you haven’t already gotten on the Sunny bandwagon, now is the time to do so. Dee, Dennis, Mac, Charlie, and Frank are the perfect example of everything that’s wrong with the world! They have outlandish personalities and always seem to clash with the real-world. Luckily they have eachother, and their bar Paddy’s, so real-world interactions aren’t necessary. Whether the gang is trying to collect welfare, try out steroids, or fix the teen-drinking problem, they always end up in some sort of trouble.
4. Guy Code
Okay, this one may turn off some girls from watching, but it shows how guys really think…sort of. Either way, it’s very funny and they make some really good points. Don’t worry, it’s not just guys sitting around talking about how to get girls, they have female commentators too! Tune in to MTV if you want to laugh at the stupid things guys do and all the “codes” they’re supposed to abide by.
5. Game of Thrones
Yes, it may seem very “Dungeons and Dragons” at first, but this show will easily become one of your guilty little pleasures. Game of Thrones has adventure, romance, comedy, and everything in between. Sure to become a cult classic, you need to start watching ASAP. There are both strong female characters as well as rugged men. However, the women of Game of Thrones definitely steal the show!
