Television has proved to be one of the Worst Inventions of Modern Times?

Dear lector, do you agree or disagree that television has proved to be one of the worst inventions of modern times? There is something called the “CSI effect”. Because of television crime dramas, jurors have unrealistic expectations of forensic science and investigation techniques. Some TV shows are Violent, Gory and have Sexual content, but there are far worst inventions mankind have created and its use to take lives. [1]By the time the average American child reaches the age of 14, they have seen around 11,000 murders on TV. That’s a heck of a lot of CSI, Criminal Minds, and Law and Order your kids are watching.

No! Television is not the worst invention in modern times. The worst invention of modern times are weapons. Weapons are used to kill people. Most common weapons are nuclear bombs that are controlled by the government, guns, and knife. These things are used to take other persons or animals' lives. [2]In America, there are approximately 270 million firearms possessed by civilians, and only 897,000 carried by police. Close to 33,000 Americans were victims of gun-related deaths in 2011 and an average of 268 citizens are shot every day. In 2011, 10.3 in every 100,000 people in the U.S. were victims of gun-related deaths. Since January of 2013, support for gun rights has increased (from 45% to 52%) and the percentage prioritizing gun control has fallen five points (from 51% to 46%). Some people have lost the sense that weapons are used for house hold protection.

Going back to the Television they are TV shows that promote violence. [3]The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Hannibal, and Dexter, are the most Gory, Sexual, and Violent TV shows. When you let your children watch television, you have to be aware of what they see. Some cartoons are bad for the kids like, [4]Metalocalypse is about the epic and over-the-top adventures of Dethklok, the world's most successful death metal band. Happy Tree Friends keep about series of horrible sudden deaths happening to a group of creatures caused by themselves doing the most stupid things. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force is about the misadventures of a milkshake, an order of fries, a meatball, and their retired next door neighbor in the suburbs of New Jersey. South Park follows the misadventures of four irreverent grade-schoolers in the quiet, dysfunctional town of South Park, Colorado. 'Robot Chicken' is stop-motion animation with a demented twist. IMDb is a website of information about Movies and TV shows. This website shows us that these are the most violent, Gory, and use inappropriate language TV shows.

“Children act like what they see”. If a child sees a lot of violent TV shows, the child will act very aggressively. To avoid this chaos of children watching inappropriate shows, parents must supervise and control what the child is watching. There are TV shows that need to be banned from Television. Healthy and educational shows is the key to good children’s. They are very beneficial to children’s. Some benefits are learning about different people and places, learn new languages and how to recycle. Kids need shows that will make them learn good things.
